I explored the mix of romantic and military lines. With Romantic lines, I always think of classic, timeless, something that is pure and can exist forever, like the iconic boucle suits Karl Lagerfeld is known for creating; one other thing I always think of when looking at the romantic side is weddings; there is nothing more classic and timeless then the perfect wedding dress that can be worn through generation but also is remembered throughout time. When looking at the military lines, I think of structure, boldness, and heaviness rather than the fluidity you get with romantic lines, like the structure of air-force parachutes, which, to me, even though it shows the structure, it also offers the flow and drapery we need to create a romantic line.
I am combining timeless with boldness, light with heavy, fluidity with structure, and an explosion of both worlds to create the perfect wedding dress.
